Readers of our previous New Zealand blog will remember that we travelled for a month with carry on bags. To accomplish the same feat during winter months in Europe might be more than even experienced packers can live up to. Especially when half of the travellers in this case enjoy their accessorizing. As with New Zealand, I have spent several sleepless nights 'packing'.... but in the end, we may ship a box using our Fed Ex discount. That, in addition to our carry on bags should get the required heavy clothing, accessories (for me) & ease of travel we desire.
Yes, we're on the road again. A week from today, we head to one of our favorite cities & one we have visited several times. This time though we will not be staying at the Amsterdam Hilton. We have opted to rent an apartment. http://www.marnixkade.com/main.html
Our goal is to really live in Europe. Originally our plan called for six months in Europe. Realistically we have scaled back, we will be gone 4-6 weeks. When we left for New Zealand four weeks seemed like such a long time. At the end we were ready to come home to see everyone but the four weeks just flew by. I'm sure the same will happen this trip.
We will travel to several different cities within Holland. We will visit our 'third child' Kareem in Morocco. We will visit Rome for a few days. We will host several visitors during our stay including my sister & brother in law, neice, nephew, our own kids and maybe my Mom. They are all scheduled for visits at different times. As we look at the calendar, we realize it's an ambitious schedule & we're excited to get started.
